About the Author

With a servant’s heart, John Brunner has traveled the world in support of Christian missions and relief organizations with the ultimate purpose to convey the most important message in the Bible—“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).

For all who are engaged in the great commission to, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15), this book is an effective tool for sharpening our swords— as we join with Apostle Paul in his appeal to, “Pray that I might proclaim the Gospel as clearly as I should” (Colossians 4:4).

John Brunner volunteered to serve his country as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. After his tour of duty, John began a career that spanned three decades as an entrepreneur in manufacturing and marketing. As his company grew, he attributes any success to hard work, prayer, and trust in God.

John graduated with a BS in Management from Harding University, and completed his graduate education with an MBA at Washington University in St. Louis. He also studied marketing and entrepreneurship at the Harvard Business School, and recently, he completed the Business Program at the Oxford Center of Christian Apologetics.

He and has wife Jan have been married for 44 years. Together, they have three children and 13 grandchildren.

We must not set up speed bumps, road blocks, or insurmountable walls and barriers to the clear, precise, and thereby effective gospel message that can be made real and made clera by the Holy Spirit to the unbeliever. The entire focus for all of us is to deliver a message that will allow a maximum opportunity for a person to place his or her trust in Jesus Christ, without conditions. Jesus Christ accepts you just the way you are - unconditionally! Many of us can recall that familiar hymn, "Just As I Am".

The entire focus is a message that declares one only needs to place one’s trust in the object that saves, Jesus Christ. There are no pre or post-behavioral conditions. How tragic is it that some, without thinking, or maybe with good intentions, feel the necessity to add other conditions, which become human barriers to God’s unconditional offer of universal love.

It's been stated that the expansion and power of the Roman Empire was a result of the effectiveness of a razor sharp, two-edged sword. In Greek, it was called a "machaira. In Latin, the familiar name of this sword was called a "Gladius" (from which we get the name gladiator or swordsman). This unique sword was developed about 200 B.C. and used for almost three centuries.
